Inevitable Theatre Company proudly presents this chilling duo of dystopian dramas by England's leading playwright, whose other works include Top Girls,  Cloud Nine, Mad Forest, A Number, The Skriker, and Love and Information.

Far Away begins with a child's innocent questions about an act of unspeakable violence she has casually witnessed in the night, and ends with a daring escape to freedom in a world of war where even the forces of nature have taken sides.

Churchill's most recent play, Escaped Alone, alternates between a series of harmless backyard conversations shared by a group of suburban neighbors and an eerie suite of nightmarish prophecies that foretell of an Orwellian hellscape to come. This production will feature a peerless quartet of St. Louis's esteemed grandes dames of the theatre.

These two all-too-timely dramas will be presented in a rotating repertory, with special weekend "marathon" performance packages so that you can see both in a single day, accompanied by a meal at the theatre.
